The Lost penguin /El pingüino que se perdió
Images by Amanda Rose/ text by Alexandra Hight and Esperanza Roncero

This is the first bilingual book in a series of English and Spanish children's books.
The money raised from the sale of these books is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for children in Third World countries.
The books are created by students at Hartwick College. Dr. Roncero supervises this project.

The Lost penguin is the story of a penguin who arrives in Africa by mistake and becomes best friends with an elephant. Since he could not find food for penguins, he decided to travel to the North Pole, but, alas, there are no penguins. Eventually, he is rescued by an intrepid lady penguin who is the captain of an ice ship traveling around the world.
